Accessibility & Privacy

  • Your privacy matters. I understand that mental health information is personal and sensitive, and I am committed to handling your information with care, respect, and clear boundaries.

Personal information is collected, used, stored, and shared only where reasonably necessary, and in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This may include contact details, referral information, health-related information you choose to share, and limited website usage data. Information is used to manage enquiries and referrals, provide and coordinate care, communicate with you, and meet legal and professional obligations. Health information is afforded a higher level of protection under Australian law.

Information may be collected directly from you, from authorised referrers, through this website or communications with me, and via standard website technologies such as cookies and analytics. Secure electronic systems are used, and information is shared only where appropriate — for example, with clinicians involved in your care, your referrer, or where required by law. Personal information is never sold or rented.

Providing personal information is voluntary, though choosing not to do so may limit my ability to respond to enquiries or provide care.

This website relates to the private psychiatric practice of Dr Hannah Dobson, based in Collingwood, Victoria.

  • I am committed to providing care that is respectful, thoughtful, and accessible — both online and in person.

I aim to keep this website clear and easy to navigate, including for people who use assistive technologies. If you experience any difficulty accessing information here, please let me know and I will be happy to assist.

Once in-person appointments are able to occur, they will take place in rooms that are accessible via elevator, with accessible toilet facilities available on the same floor. If you have specific access needs, or would like to discuss how best to support you before an appointment, you are very welcome to get in touch ahead of time.

I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of countries throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. I acknowledge and pay respect to the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which I live and work.

I warmly welcome people of all bodies, genders, sexualities and family structures, including LGBTQIA+ communities. I am committed to providing care that is safe, inclusive and affirming for all.
